Launch Website

The Brief is a new lifestyle and design publication launched during lockdown in 2020 by a team of colleagues including Jean-Pierre de la Chaumette (publisher), Mila Crewe-Brown (editor), Martin Jacobs (deputy editor and art director), and One Day Co founder Sarah Jayne Fell (head of digital)

Our solution

Working with the CI developed by the art director and publisher on the new brand “Lifestyling” we designed and built a WordPress site as an online magazine / digital publication. Because of the nature of the publication we went with a highly visual content focus, integrating display advertising in order to monetise the site. Our selling point is high-quality lifestyle and design content that brings to the reader an astute opinion, compellingly written and aesthetically art directed.

Social media includes daily Instagram and Facebook posts to showcase new content, build the online audience and drive traffic to the site via links. We also send out a fortnightly newsletter on Mailchimp with highlights of new content.
