SCOPE OF WORK
- Logo redesign (2021)
- Website development (2015)
- Social media (ongoing)
- Blog content (ongoing)

The Brief
Content and brand development for our own agency, One Day Company, established in 2014, launched in 2015 and with a logo revamp in 2021.
Our solution
A little logo revision (see before on our Instagram post) to tweak our own logo’s typeface and logomark.
One Day Company’s logo concept has always been about storytelling and writing, the cornerstones of our work, and it started feeling like the original font choice (circa 2015) was not quite telling the right story…
“How does it make you feel?” is an important question to ask of design, and sometimes a gut response is an important place to start.
We wanted to convey a sense of whimsy. Nostalgia. Magic and mystery. It should feel warm and enticing. Feminine. Crafted. The way you felt as a kid at storytime, or after watching Peter Pan for the first time.
The spacing and placement of the name in relation to the crescent moon was also an important consideration. Rather than acting as a bracket or icon that is secondary, it was more about emphasising the whole of the moon including the negative space, where the rest of the moon sits in darkness. So the lettering now forms the edge of the invisible full moon shape and the whole form is centred in the blue… whether you see an ink spot or a blue moon is up to your own imagination.
The website has been developed to showcase portfolio work and explain the company’s services using a premium WordPress theme in 2015, regularly updated to add new content to the portfolio and blog.
The social media pages are updated to show new work, business news and quotes around content, writing, design and storytelling.
