An insatiable curiosity, a love of learning and the desire to do interesting work that matters is what gets Delia up in the morning. That, coffee, and the fact that digital is the ideal platform for bringing all these interests together.

After completing an honours degree in journalism, Delia worked in magazine publishing but soon found that digital content was where the real action and growth is. Her experience as online content manager for the world-renowned creative platform Design Indaba affirmed her belief in the power of storytelling and its importance as the building block of great content. Before starting One Day, she did a brief stint in the marketing department of a large corporate where she gained great insight into the importance of branding as a business value-add.

A content-first philosophy underpins Delia’s approach to all aspects of digital and marketing. Everybody and everything has a story to tell. The challenge and the art is to craft those stories into memorable, shareable content with relevance and purpose.

As co-founder of One Day Company, Delia’s role varies from ideas generator to brand manager, and from content strategist to client liaison. It’s all ultimately about finding and sharing the story.

When she’s not thinking about One Day, she’s probably running, DIYing, reading, or crafting something out of felt. Delia is not a cat person but is very fond of the beaded sheep in her garden. The sheep’s name is Sally.
