Workshop: Content marketing for shop owners

Do you have an online shop but you’re somehow just not driving the sales you thought you would?

While a functional, user-friendly and beautiful e-commerce platform is an essential part of your online selling efforts, a shop in itself will not sell your product.

Content marketing can help your sales by creating brand awareness and nurturing a community of people interested and inspired by your offering, which ultimately creates brand recognition and loyalty to drive those sales.

To learn more about how to make content marketing work for your online shop, join the workshop that we’re presenting with Shopstar.

We’ll be looking at content marketing, unpacking what it is, why it matters and how a consistent and targeted content marketing strategy can help to create brand awareness and drive sales to an online shop.

Introduction / ice breaker: Because all work and no play never did anybody any favours we’ll start with a fun game to get you thinking about branding and the value of storytelling.

Unpacking and understanding your brand: Your brand should be like a person with its own unique personality. We’ll show you how to go about creating a unique personality for your brand. Because, let’s face it, nobody (or brand) can rely on their good looks all the time. A bit of charm goes a long way…

What is content marketing and why it matters: Then you ask, but what’s with this content marketing business? We’ll look at the who, what, where, when, why and how of content marketing with relevant examples and discussions.

Content marketing and your brand: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, blogs, newsletters, Instagram etcetera etcetera… With so many platforms and options, content marketing can seem very overwhelming. We’ll share some tips for selecting the best channels for your brand.

Your content marketing toolkit: There’s always the excuse that a bad workman blames his tools, but in the content marketing space using the right tools for the job can make all the difference. We’ll give you the lowdown on some useful and free tools and resources to streamline your content marketing efforts. We’ll throw in some other industry tips and secrets too!
